11.1.24

You have nothing to fear

A burden has been placed upon your shoulders; how you bear it you will decide.  If you square your shoulders and say, "This is my burden, I will carry it," it will become lighter because your soul will grow and in growing allow some of that inner strength to heal you.  There is none spiritually impoverished for using honesty and courage in facing difficulties.  You have nothing to fear. (p. 61)

Kazuo Kondo (2008). Silver Birch: Kyo no Kotoba [Silver Birch: Words for Today].

Life is what we had planned before we were born; it is for learning lessons and becoming a better person.  Everything we experience on earth is our own decision and creation.

We know deep down what difficulties we are going through and what pleasures we will enjoy.  It is only we do not remember at a conscious level.

5.5.16

Service is the one thing

"Service is the one thing that we all learn here," added Silver Birch, "and you can serve in so many different capacities. You can serve by giving light, serve by bringing colour into people's lives, serve cheering them when they are downcast, serve by helping to find truth--you can serve in so many ways."
Kazuo Kondo trans. and ed. Silver Birch: Kyo no Kotoba. p. 147.

It is said that there are roughly 4 purposes for souls to be born on Earth with : 1) to fulfil our wishes that we could not in any of the previous lives; 2) to correct relationships with others which went wrong; 3) to awaken our abilities that are latent, to straighten kinks in our nature, and to achieve whatever good we have planned to; and 4) to shed light on people around us with our talents or abilities that we have acquired through previous incarnations.  Any souls were born with these four purposes in one lifetime. The above quotation mainly refers to purpose 4.

You have nothing to fear

"A burden has been placed upon your shoulders; how you bear it you will decide. If you square your shoulders and say, "This is my burden, I will carry it", it will become lighter because your soul will grow and in growing allow some of that inner strength to heal you. There is none spiritually impoverished for using honesty and courage in facing difficulties. You have nothing to fear."

His brother's sorrows

"We must spread not indifference, not disregard, not callousness to the well-being of others, but tenderness, mercy, compassion, sympathy and service. He whose soul is awakened cannot be indifferent to the sufferings of others. His brother's pains are his pains and his brother's sorrows are his sorrows."
K. Kondo trans. and ed. Silver Birch: Kyo no Kotoba. (Silver Birch: Words for Today) p. 56.

1.7.11

Love is stronger

"Love is stronger than blood. Love is stronger than death. Love is the permanent force because love rules the universe. Those whom the Great Spirit has joined in the bond of love cannot be separated in life or what you call death. The grave has no power to curtail love. Love is triumphant because it is part of the Great Spirit. And what belongs integrally to the Great Spirit is indestructible."

 K. Kondo trans. and ed. (2008).
Silver Birch: Kyo no Kotoba (Words for Today).  p. 49.

The voice of nature

"The Great Spirit can talk to you many ways, not only in churches and temples, through inspired prophets and mediums, through sacred books with their countless revelation, but also through the voice of nature."
K. Kondo trans. and ed. (2008).  Silver Birch: Kyo no Kotoba (Silver Birch: Words for Today).  p. 153.

27.6.11

You are never alone

"May you all realize that you are never alone, but always encompassed around and about by a host of those who love you, who seek to guard and guide you and to help and inspire you. And may you, as you unfold your own spirits, realize that you are being drawn closer to the greatest Spirit of all, becoming more in unison with his law."
K. Kondo trans. and ed. Silver Birch: Kyo no Kotoba. p. 175.

26.6.11

Look Forward

"Hold your head high: look forward, not backward. The pages of the past have been turned; they cannot be turned again. There are always fresh pages in the book of life waiting for you to turn them. Live for the day, not yesterday. It is today that you will sow the seeds of a harvest that you will reap on the morrow."
Kazuo Kondo trans. and ed. (2008) Silver Birch: Kyo no Kotoba.
(Silver Birch: Words for Today) p. 97.
